You Might Be a Quilter…
Thank you to Jeff Foxworthy for the inspiration for this post. I hope he doesn’t mind that I am putting my own spin on his stand up comedy routine, “You Might be a Redneck” I love that routine, by the way, some of his comments are sooo true! So here are some of the lines I came up with, along with some help from my Quilting Friends group. (But you have to imagine this in Jeff Foxworthy’s southern twang and it’s even funnier! Or maybe his quilting grandma?)
If you buy three extra yards of your favorite fabric, just in case… you might be a quilter.
If you have a sink full of dishes, baskets of laundry, but only need three more hours to finish that last project…you might be a quilter.
If you have a closet full of fabric but you have to join just one more swap…you might be a quilter.
If you have ever bought a jelly roll that you can’t even eat…you might be a quilter.
If you have a basket full of clothes to be ironed and perfectly pressed fabric in the closet…you might be a quilter.
If you never iron your clothes because your iron and ironing board live in your sewing room…you might be a quilter.
If you wake up your kids every morning with “Who touched my scissors!”…you might be a quilter.
If the ladies at the quilt shop know you by name…you might be a quilter.
If you use the terms, PIGS, WIP, UFO, WOW, WOF, FQ and think that everyone knows what you are talking about…you might be a quilter.
Well, that’s it for now. Anyone have any more to add?
Happy Stitches to You,
