Handmade Christmas 2009
Click here to visit the blog where I got the above badge. She has some AWESOME links to other blogs with gift ideas!
OK, I’m going to do it, really this time I am going to make all the gifts I give for Christmas this year. Really, I am! It’s only May, that means I have six months to work on this. I think that’s do-able. Here is the list of people I need to make gifts for:
Mom Hopefully I can make this in enough time.
Dad Perhaps a pair of these?
Regina (MIL) Probably something like this.
Joe (FIL) Maybe I’ll make him some of these as well.
Chris (brother) I have a lot of denim that I cut so it could be used to make this for his house.
Chris (husband) Since it’s Pajama Party Month at Sew Mama Sew, I’ll probably join in and make some PJ’s for hubby.
Ruthie (sister) In Progress
Russell (brother in law) DONE (can’t reveal it because sis reads this blog, sometimes)
Jenifer (co-worker) I have something in mind, but can’t reveal it in case she decides to read this.
Lynda (friend) Something like this, made with the Desk Deli Tote pattern, but with cute pink fabrics with shoes!
A few various other friends (maybe I can find something small that I can make several of for them, or their kids)
I think the hardest part is figuring out what to make for the guys. Usually ladies are pretty easy to make things for, but guys, that’s another story. I’ll be sure to check the Sew Mama Sew archives for some gift ideas as well as the above link. I am glad I saw that badge on someone’s website today. I hope I’ll be able to work on this a little every month. Won’t you join me? Just comment below with a link to your blog if you want to join in this commitment.
Happy Stitches to You,
P.S. I just realized I have a lot of stuff to make gifts for some of the above listed people already. I just have to put my mind to making it!
UPDATE: 09/09/09 Hmm seems appropriate I would make this update today, I totally need to get going! I’ve linked the tutorials for the items I want to make. I wonder if I’ll get them done in time? We’ll see.
