Pictures, yeah!

I have finally been able to get some pictures ready to post on here. I am fully aware that blogs are NOT very exciting if they do not include interesting photos to look at. This is especially true when I realize that the subject matter I am discussing, i.e. sewing and fabric and quilting, is a visual art. Now, Jennifer Chiaverini does an awesome job in the Elm Creek Quilt Series describing the different blocks and their names, but I am not a published author and do not have her abilities, necessarily. So, below are some pictures we took while at the Quilts In the Country Annual Quilt Show in Bozeman, Montana. The weather was BEAUTIFUL that day, not too hot, and the colors of the quilts were so vibrant against the backdrop of the mountains and the “Big Sky” that MT is known for.     Quilt Show  Most of the quilts were displayed on the side of the many buildings on the property. This is one of the first views as you walk through a path surrounded by trees.  Then you see this:

Beautiful Quilts Wow, those colors really POPPED against that blue sky!  Further back on the property was a bunkhouse, just covered in quilts. The Bunkhouse  And then we noticed the gardens, they were in full bloom, which doesn’t last long up there in Bozeman, so my sister had to take advange of the opportunity. She always looks right a home surrounded by flowers. Sista That’s about it for this installment of photos.  I think that in order to save space I may just join a photosharing website, such as flickr or webshots.  I had a flickr site but I can’t remember my login, so I’ll check out webshots and get back to you all on that. I have SO many more photos to share, it’s crazy. Plus, I have about twenty mini videos of my brother in law skipping rocks, and some very neat panoramic shots. By the way, I have made some progress on the patchwork christmasy blanket. I only need to put on the binding and it will be done! I love making tied quilts, can they still be called quilts if they aren’t exactly quilted? More later.

 Happy Stitching,

P.S. THANKS to my dear, DEAR hubby who allowed me to purchase my Canon Sureshot (or maybe its a Powershot?) SP3 IS just before this trip. That, with the extra memory card allowed me to take over 200 AMAZING photos!
